Size/Material for Rad

My buddy gave me an evaporator to for my watercooling project & it is kinda big. 8 1/2 X 9 1/2 X 3 1/2 BIG & it's made of Alu. What do you guys think? I'm hoping that a 1048 would work or should I just play it safe & go for a 1250?

you'll want to make sure your waterblock is also Aluminium as to lessen the corrosion effect copper and aluminium combined will have

if you can get your hands on a Car heater core that would work better VW's are supposed to have very efficiant heater cores
i'd imagine most european cars would

The block I made is out of Cu. Will be adding the right additives to keep galvanic corrossion away. Is it just too big or what
