My first delta

Now I know why you guys complain about these things.

Delta 7000 rpm on a Thermaright SK-6

You can hear it over every other fan in this room combined. Sounds like a damn dremel.

I'll get used to it I guess, though.

XP 1800+ with PowerCooler PCH075 5000rpm

vs.

XP 1800+ @1900+ via FSB OC only with Thermalright SK-6 7000rpm

The Overclock won by 5 degrees C

pretty cool eh?

I used a delta on a WBK38 for 2 weeks before it got to me. I wasn't willing to give up on the OC so I got myself a millenium glaciator. Heavy as heck, but relatively quiet and just as cool.

LOL I was lucky enough to hear a delta on a buddy's system before purchasing a new fan for my latest heatsink.. That was enough to keep me from getting one..

I've just stuck with ystech (ystech can suck it since one died on me and killed my cpu) and sunon hehe.. you still know the sunon's there cause it's not perfectly quiet.. but at least it won't start a tornado in your living room like the delta

A guy i used to live with had a delta on his PC.

It kept my awake at night so i lapped his heatsink and put AS2 and a YS-tech fan on...his temps stayed the same and I could sleep.

I remember thinking that once too. You do get used to it, but then 6 months latter you get sick of it. So then you try to find ways of making it quieter without sacrificing perfromance. Those attempts don't go very well, and so you end up turning to liquid cooling, and you never regret it . . .

I know what u mean....i have the DELTA EHE 80mm 80cfm slapped to my Swiftech!!

It doesnt have the very high pitch sound of the dremel although it still is LOUD. Sounds like a blowdryer inside the Lian Li.

I'm actually starting to like the noise..

I got up to 139 FSB, but as I said, this is a POS 1800+

It has ALWAYS run really hot. So much so, that I would not feel right ebaying it.

I have the 60mm x 50cfm fan on my SK6, 7000 rpm's nothing,hehe.

And the HSF combo is on the T-bird sys.

I have put insulation on both side panels also, the noise is still there but not as loud or high pitch..

After two long years of Delta Screamer "goodness" I simply had to choose a different path to acceptable temps.

Notice how the door won't close? I just ordered a pair of 120mm x 15mm fans. They will fit.
