Volcano 7

I have a volcano 7 on my 1600- it is temp controlled- and its weird- the hotter it gets the slower the fan spins- the cooler it gets the faster the fan spins- it this wierd or what? Oh well- im replacing the stick with a panaflow L series- should work ok- Any ideas thought?

That is weird. Mine worked fine, but I cut off the sensor (and connected the two wires togeather) so now it's a 50ish CFM fan, that is about 45db No clue why yours is fliped..

i bought two of those so called HS

on my 1.2 it was running in the mid 50's, poped it off gave it a good lapping and stuck the sensor down inside the hs touching the spring, rpm's went up and the temps went down 43-44 c fan runs at about 4200 rpms now

i've used 2 of the volcano 7's and i have nothing but good things to say.

not "meaty" like AX-7's but for typical use the Volcano is tops in my book.

I'm running a V7 on my XP1900+ and it stablizes at about 43C idle/47C load. I need a AX-7.

my old school swifty 462 1 1/2 years old keeps my 1ghz axia @1430ish ambeint room temp 68F at or around 38-40

just went over to plycon to buy two new mcx 462 U's but there out of stock
