Look ma! No hose clamps!

Don't know if I've showed you guys pictures of my hose-clamp-less setup yet or not. But anyway here is a picture. Also note worthy is my custom solid brass fill-hose cork, which took me all of 4 or 5 minutes to make . . .

Now I just need to get off my lazy arse and whip up some fan shrouds . . .

I've got clamps on the waterblock, only because it's a DangerDen piece at the moment . . .

The fill-hose "T" is for 5/8" ID tubing, I heated up the 1/2" vinyl tubing over an open flame and stretches it on using saliva for lubricant, it's so tight that it doesn't need hose clamps. If I had to do it again I'd probably slide some large diameter heatshrink tubing over the vinyl tubing for cheap insurance . . .

Im a bit too paranoid to run without hoze clamps.

Ive got some pretty nice plasiic ones on my system now, they work great with the silicone tube I use.

The brass fittings you see in the photo are compressor fittings, good for 200 PSI when used with hard line . . .

Are there any liquid handling equivalent of what I think are called quick-release hose fittings that are used with compressed air driven tools?

Is such an attachment arrangement out of the question with hoses that carry fluids?

Couplers? Yeah, they make no-spill couplers for high-pressure hydraulic systems(like farm machinery), but they are high-pressure not high-volume. You'd need to use a coupler the size of your fist to get enough flow with our low pressure impelar pumps . . .

Ive seen some couplers made for stuff like this, at a site that is now no longer alive, so some searching around would probably find you what you want cloasters.

Thank you for your replies, Jeff and Random Nonsense. Academic interest only, I must admit. I'm still too spooked about water in my box's.
