win2k boot screen freeze/fizzle

First let me say on this first post of mine that these boards seem to be a beautious el dorado of knowledge and community.

I only hope to contribute.

Anyway...

I have:
Epox 8RDA+
AMD 2400XP
512 PC3200 DDR Samsung
Albatron GeForce4 Ti4600
SB Live!
ect, ect, ect...

I think what I am having is a driver issue or video issue, for after I installed the newest Nvidia drivers and rebooted into win2k professional (service pack 3) the process halted into an array of jagged, horizontal lines across the screen right before it went into windows.

It just remains like this.

Any suggestions?

The refresh rate might be too high with the new drivers, win2k has a 60hz refresh rate problem, do you have a spare monitor you can hook your system up to???

Yea, I tried putting it on another moniter and I also tried doing the whole thing over in XP, still the same sort of problem except this time the screen flickered twice then went black.

I know the card is fine because I put it in another machine and it worked fine.

Tonight... I may try flashing the bios and upgrading it.
