Random Reboots...

Well, my computer has been rebooting randomly alot lately. Sometimes it would be during a game, and other times, it would be during something as simple as starting internet explorer. Just a moment ago, the computer rebooted while I was typing out a post. While pissed, I shrugged it off. However, while Windows was booting up, the computer restarted again. I cut the power immediatly. I have since let it cool down for about 30 minutes, but right before I left it, I whipped open the case, and felt the fan that sits ontop of my processor within 20 seconds of the reboots.

I couldn't even keep my finger on it for more then 3 seconds, because it was burning my finger.

Obviously that is WAY too hot. Now, my current case has only one fan, which is from the power supply at the rear. My other problem is that there are no ports on the front or rear of the case in which I can mount new fans.

So, I need some way of cooling down the system. If I do need to buy a new case, what would be a good one to buy? I need something that is fairly sturdy, and has enough places to mount fans. If you guys have any other suggestions then a new case, I'm open to that too.

Trichord....My reccomendations are as follows;

When in doubt...get a nice Copper HS/F(heatsync/fan)
buy a nice 80mm fan for ur chasis to cool the PCI area(vid card)
Add a pool of Liquid nitrogen at the bottom of ur chassis

What are you Ram timing set at? Too aggressive ram timings will cause reboots.

Trichord, You don't mention what cpu you are running, if it is AMD and especially an Athlonxp , you should have at least one intake and one exhaust fan for your case. You can buy the best cpu cooler but you have to realize that the heat removed from the cpu is just going to hang around inside your case. If you can't afford a new case right now you can always run it with the side cover off and place a small portable fan directing room temperature air into the case. If you have a 60 GB hard drive or larger you want a case that allows a front case fan to pull fresh air into the case from right in front of your hard drive , and the exhaust fan to pull ALL that hot air straight out the back. So you get an airflow across the motherboard. Those power supplies with one fan work OK with a Pentium 3, but for an AMD over say 1 GHz cpu , you'll get better results with the psu's that have 2 fans (assuming they have enough grunt to run your system).
