Unhappy Installed 3D card, PC won't boot now

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! !

I just got the All in Wonder Radeon 9800 pro today, but now everytime I install my 3d card my pc wont boot, it will shut down like in one seconde or two, won't past post I bet. I put back my Geforce FX card and my pc boot like normal. I thought it was the CPU that I fried by accident or something but my pc does boot except when I have my radeon card. Need help guys

Ummmm...I assume you plugged the power lead in to one of the PSU leads?
Does the fan on the card spin up? Will it work ok in another system?

Laz.

Yes it is connected, and yes the fan does turn, all the fans in my systrem turn but only in secondes like in 2 or 3, then if I press the power button it doesn't do anything then I press the button on my psu to turn it off, then press it on agains and it looks like it's booting then all the fans turn then it jsut shuts down.
This is what I tried: I take the power lead from the radeon card off and the system boots all fans spinning and all but there is al lot of beeps and in my monitor it shows that my power connector is not plugged on my radeon card. I turn my ps off and plug it back in and it just doesn't past post. I put my geforce again and it boots normaly
No id don't have any other system to try it

Hold down the insert key while powering up. Could also be a bad card. I'll check it out when I swing by to bring you your $

It does that same thing again. I turned my pc off all night with the button of the PSU off and when I wocke (sp?) up this morning it did the same thing it won't boot. This time I'll turn it off for a couple of hours without turning my PSU off and see if it helps. The only time I can get it to boot is by precing the instert key but it will give me an error saying that my cpu was detected incorrectly or something like that and it detects my previous CPU athlon xp 1900+ so I have to go back and change the clock speeds.
Edit: I think what is holding me back with the ram is the Kingston stick because is the value one and it's cas3 , gonna buy a new stick after buyng a monitor and a new set of speakers

Yeah, throw your speakers and that ram in the classifieds and see if it moves.
Humm..... you said that in other forums people are having the same trouble...... hummmm...... Well try what I said last night, disconnect all the fans that you don't need on there and do some rewiring of everything else and try that.

Here is a big and nice forum for you to see but the only problem is that it's an AIW Radeon 9700 PRO but it's the same thing that happened to me http://rage3d.com/board/showthread.p...eadid=33682632
OH and I waited for 20 min. with my pc off and having the power switch of my PSU on and it booted fine like normal, oh and if you want my ram Rob for 50 DLS, then is yours. I'll put the speakers on the classifieds later on but the thing is that I don't have time for shipping so I may need help from you again ok

Damn, I turned my pc off for like an hour without presing the switch off on my psu and when I came back it didn't work. So what I did was I pressed the the button of my psu to off and then on again and pressed the power button for 3 seconds and it boot up again and if I press the on button like normaly I do it wont boot. Gonna reconect all the power connectors inside my pc again like Rob said.

Success, finaly got it running lik it should. I reconected everything inside my pc and so that when my 3d card grabs energy it is directly from the psu and not from my fans and then from the hardrive and then directly to the 3d card because my psu detects so much power consuption in just one wire molex that it turnes off by safe mechanism so there won't be short. Thanks Rob for helping me again on this one.
