If you have the room, an old socket 7 HSF held on with some thermal adheasive will work great.

If you have good case airflow then I would go with a large passive heatsink. But it would have to be big. Likeon the board in the pic below. And if it gets too hot you can always rig up a fan to blow on it.

I have to agree with robbie that the Vantec ICEBERQ CCB-A1C is excellent. It fits both 54mm and 59mm mounts. I haven't seen a Abit BH-7 and I suggest you measure the mounting holes first. For me it isn't always a good idea to use thermal adhesives 'coz once you put it on, there's no getting it off without doing some extreme things with it. You'll be better off with the good old push pin coolers. Thermaltake Crystal Orb (I've worked with both) is for 54mm only and costs bout the same. Iceberq is the most flexible cooler out there for this type of situations. Just keep the two extra heatsinks as an extra (for free ![]()

You could put the extra HS on your south bridge chip if you like. Rob

well, it appears that i dont have mounting holes on my board, the adhesive was the only choice. just a few pics of what the problem was and how i fixed it: http://mywebpage.netscape.com/RussianMissile1/NB1.jpg http://mywebpage.netscape.com/RussianMissile1/NB3.jpg http://mywebpage.netscape.com/RussianMissile1/NB7.jpg on second thought, i should have gone with that one HS from vantec that has the lights on it.

Nice work RussianMissile1 I see your crystal orb just cleared the CPU Heatsink but it's a good fit just the same. Nice job!
