Trouble shooting 101

1) unplug anything that attaches via a cable to your mobo, except the power cables from the PS, and your power switch. Oh, and don't unplug your monitor (yet).

2) Now attempt to boot. If you can come up, then you know the problem is something you unplugged. If that doesn't work, proceed to step 3.

3) Remove RAM and video card.

4) Now attempt to boot. If you get any beeps at all, then you know the problem is either the video card or the RAM. If you still don't get anything, you've got problems....

Do the fans keep spinning but nothing else happens?
One potential culprit is a dead CPU.

Prior to your problems, did you do anything, or did anything happen to the machine... Did it physically get bumped, lightning storm outside in the last few weeks, high temp readings....?

Have you been working on it? if yes, what in particular?

EDIT: follow gizmo's advice first... See if that helps. As you have the case open, also look for phyical signs of problems in the mobo and other components. Look for scorch marks, frayed cables, bubbling caps or anything else that seems odd. THe K7S5A is a pretty reliable mobo, but you never know.

Do you know what the temp readings were when the fan was faulty?

Which CPU do you have?
