crash, mb km266 pro win xp (pci driver?) blue screen

dears friends:

my pc has a motherb km266 pro, 256 mb ram, win xp, net card.

I have a problem; I don't know if it is related to the mb or win xp,
but my pc was working well a long time and now presents some
problems in hardware administration, trying to look for a driver
for pci-drivers (?) and immediately presents the blue screen + alarm
sounds showing the memory volcado.
at first instance, I tried to restore the windows installation but
all was the same, later I reinstalled the full windows oper. system
and the situation was the worst, I could not finish the instalation
because the alarm was sounding more and more and the memory
volcado again, the disk is off with my work inside, no backup.
can you help me ?

it has cd-rom, netcard, modem, hd 40 gb, floppy, amd athlon 1.7 mhz

You've got a hardware problem of some kind, sounds like. What cards do you have installed?

You may have a problem with the power supply not being stable or not being able to provide enough power. I would recommend a good 350-400 watt supply. If your local ambient temperature has risen lately it could have a negative effect on the power supply. You can also try to remove as many cards and accessories from your system to see if it helps the problem.

If you have not already done so, clear and reset your cmos and bios back to the default values. Go to the Albatron website and get the latest bios updates for your motherboard (here ), and possibly some of their drivers. Or get them from AOAfiles here.

Please, as Gizmo asked, give us more info about your system.
