BIOS Checksum error or CMOS checksum error? It sounds more like CMOS checksum error, which indicates the settings in the CMOS RAM were corrupted. That would be consistant with the thing not managing to exit from the setup properly.

Does it happen consistantly, or is it a one off?

Sounds like a fault with the machine or the graphics card there then! Sounds like the best thing to do is send it back.

Talking

Hey Áedán, i managed to find out what the problem was!, whilst thumbing though the instruction manual of the shuttle case, i noticed some little stickers covering some text, under the stickers was a line saying the system supported "prescot" cores. The processor we ordered was a P4 3.2ghz Prescot..... :-P
