4PDA2+ wont boot E0 error

Heres the problem, i just built my new computer an Athlon 64 system. My old computer though i transferred into a new case, for me to sell. Which is a P4 2.6ghz 800fsb, with an Epox 4PDA2+. All was fine for a day or to, starting getting errors on cold starts, had to clear bios to boot. Then the last time it happened it wouldnt boot, it gets stuck on the Post Code E0 or 03 which ever way you look at it. I get a long beep as i turn power on, followed by a gap and then a siren like beep. I have tried 3 different memory modules, and am about to try a different CPU tonight. Anyone else had this problem?? I'm thinking MOBO problem, well hoping anyway!! The computer was previously up and running for nearly two years without a problem at all.
Thanks!!

For EPoX board help its best to post your question under the EPoX forum, where it can often be better answered. When you transferred it into the case its in now, do you think it could have been damaged? Sometimes full sized ATX boards (not sure about this exact one, but EPoX often go for the full size ATX PCB to improve the layout) can be damaged by drive cages and mounting stand offs when being installed.

I would be more inclined to suspect a power supply problem, as if it was damage due to moving it, it would be instant failure rather than gradual. Slowly worsening problems are often PSUs as they die more slowly typically.

Does the case its in now have a generic PSU? And what is the wattage / brand. Also how old is it, and finally, is the ATX +12V pin used.

Thanks for the reply!
I have tried it with two different Psu's First was with a Chieftec 360w and then a ColorIT 550w. The chieftec is the one its been running on for about a year or so, and yes the 20pin and the 4 pin connectors are in. I have looked back on this message board quite a bit, and just noticed that someone else with an Epox mobo had a similar problem. Not the same model but the same boot up problems and Error code. He got a new mobo and it was all fine after that. I have a mate calling around tonight when i get home from work tonight, hes bringing his P4 cpu around for me to try. So that should hopefully rule out the Cpu if i get the same error.

Is it possible that the HDD in this new-ish machine was not reformatted so that the new mobo's BIOS became the "law of the land?"

No, the all the parts are from the same machine. I just moved them from my nice case, into a cheaper case to sell. I had it working for about 3 days in the cheap case, but if i cold started it, i was having to reset the bios. Im gonna try and get my hands on a new mobo, see if that makes any difference. thanks
