8khal no video

Hi new here , here's the problem:

When i start the computer i get no video, everything else seems to be working fine, i have remove and reseaseted the video card a few times, i've even tried an pci card and still nothing, all jumpers are on default, here's my system specs:

Epox EP-8khal
AMD Athlon 1700+ XP
Maxtor 40gb 7200rpm
Geforce 2 MX 400 64mb sdram
256mb ddr from crucial
10x hp-writter

could it be that the mobo is bad , or i'm i missing something, any help will be greatly apreciated

Is this a new system..or has this just started ?

Try clearing the CMOS.

Try running with just the motherboard, cpu, memory and PSU

If it wont post..reseat everything.

If it still wont go take it outside the case..put the board on a book and try again.

If still no good try swaping video card..memory..PSU and CPU with others.

If you dont find a bad component then you might have a bad board.

Double check all the jumpers to make sure youve not set anything wrong.

Getting two bad boards in a row would be very bad luck.

Can you test your PSU, CPU and memory in another board to be sure...or give the epox tp somebody else to try with there components.

What PSU do you have ?

Obviously not a PSU problem then.

Maybee another component is causing problems.

Memory CPU or Video card.

Taking it to a shop where they can test each component is a good idea.

Good luck and tell us how you get on.
