Question Windows wont boot!!!

Hi.

Yesterday i was doing a small bit of overclocking. I was also on the net (Virus! Virus!).

a little toolbar message came up and said there was a missing dll file (didnt catch the name).

I ignored it and started up cod2. Cod locked (frequency was too high) so i restarted.

My comp does the POST test fine but when it got to the screen where it loads windows, it just restarted itself. It did the post test again but i saw id didnt count the RAM. It got to the same place but gave me a choice of options. No matter what one I chose, be it safe mode or normal, it reseted itself. No error messages.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Also when i went to go windows recovery from the CD, it says there is a password needed. I NEVER PUT ONE THERE!

HELP!

It seems as if safe mode was tried. Still rebooted.

Your rescue cd is asking for a password?

I have had similar problems. Strangely for me, unplugging my Graphics Card Power and plugging it back in fixed it every single time without fail.

If your PCI/AGP is not fixed at 33MHz then a high FSB could have caused HDD coruption.

For the password, try Username: Admin, Password: Password
