Post Card Error Code

I've been working on a friend's Dell. Change mobo, cpu and psu. Almost get it right. Start the sys. get the post and then start a reboot loop . Use three different sticks of ram, do a chkdsk and mbr fix. Use a post card that give me error code FF. Chk it out and saids "Boot the operating system". Don't know how to do that. The bios is an "Award legal Bios (?)", intel 2.2, VIA P4M800 chipset.

Any ideas?

Offhand, a new HDD should fix this, this is where Dell proprietary crud remains to mess you up... But I'm not absolutely certain. Don't know if writing zeroes to the old hard drive will fix this, 'cause there is probably a "hidden" partition that insists that Dell is swell.

Do the fix boot didn't work. The new psu was faulty. Change it, do a new installation and back on line again.

Thank you Cloaster
