Nero burning ROM crashes my system!

LOL.......
Well after a while I saw a message "Cannot communicate with device"...
1) I tried new disk.
2) I re-install the program and clean the registry.
But nothing so I was afraid if the DVDRW was dead...
Finally I setup the backup system (it is 99.999% clear) and Teac worked perfect.
Thus the main system needs Windows re-installation!

What version of Nero?

I had some issues a while back, before I got a newer version of Nero, where newer drives would not work. There was a DRIVE patch that allowed Nero to recognize newer drives.

I read that Roxio works better. No help, apologies.

I actually use both now. I like Roxio for DVDs and Nero for Music and such.

Before you reinstall, might see if there are any updates.

I have had this happen. A software stops working and the only I was able to get it working again was to reinstall Windows.

Do you have a game or app which installed Star Force? I had problems like that which were solved when I used the SF removal tool.

btw. nice avatar Sean

Seems strange but I don't have Internet at my home
Moreover I avoid to install new editions (cos I am busy many times).

No cos I don't play games.
The installed applications are Visual Studio for OcBible programming and some Mathematical tools.
