Force boot

How can I force my rig to boot from the fdd? No,... is not that easy. Every time I change the boot order on the bios it would reset it self to hdd, wich in turn are empty.
What I want to do is to flash the bios to see if it goes back to default values or something. Been in this for more than a week now and believe I try almost everything (chk cables and connections, disconect one/ both dvd-cd rom, ect).

Got my dos boot dsk, asus afudos utility current and uptated bios.

Help, please!!!.

On most boards, you can hit the ESC key during the boot. this will bring up a boot menu. From there you can select the boot device of your liking.

Try hitting F8 right after the boot screen.

is it even spinning teh floppy up? does the light come on at boot? make sure its the A: drive and not the B: drive. also make sure the disk boots in another machine. the bios may automatically change teh boot order if it doesnt find the drive it wants. as a last resort try another known good drive, could also be controller...
