parking lot dings

ok. I was on my way to work Friday AM and it broke without hitting anything. no pot holes or speed bumps.
I was pulling into the lot @ 5 mph. it's $500.00 of broken upper control arm. mostly labor.

I get it.... "Crashed"
I don't see the damage... maybe a huge red arrow pointing them out would help.

The control arm isn't too bad of a job. 500 isn't totally out of line. Not sure what labor rates are up there.

Ouch, who needs this kind of damage? Probly not safe to drive at any real speed, I'm guessing.

Did the total bill come to what that little vacation was going to cost? Hope not!

Course, it would have been much worse if some bozo had ambushed you in the parking lot.

A control arm shouldn't be that hard to replace. If you have the time, tools, and ability. I wish ya well man.

I'm guessing that dabaerman fixed the control arm a while back, but hasn't the time to post about it. If only Arms Control was so straight forward!

remembering that a follow up post was due! I type so slowly that if this

If he ran a lot faster just think of the trouble he would have avoided. Probly got fired over that one.
