Been trying to find info on if this particular stick i have (256mb pc2100 186 dimm) has a lifetime warrenty and if i can make a claim. Have found an email and phone number for the uk dept so will prob be trying that.

best bet.generally speaking, most warranties are handled by the manufacturer, and not the retailer, although some retailers will do ANY warranty claim you have, and act as your intermediary.

Rules are a bit different in the UK, as the retailer is supposed to deal with the issue. After two years however, the manufacturer should be happy to deal with the issue.

I know of other people who have not had a problem getting an RMA from Crucial in the UK.
