Updated sygate
And could not get online at all after I did so.
I had to uninstall it completely to get online...now I'm running without a firewall. wah.
Any suggestions?

thanks guys, I knew about zone alarm, I tried it a couple of years ago and didn't like it (can't remember why) and I can't afford to buy trend micro's stuff.
But, I'll give zone alarm a go again.

No worries, I have ZA installed now...and wow, in the past 20 minutes I've been pinged 257 times.
All IP Addy's are from around here...same ISP as me, probably in the same town as me. :|

After talking to Betty about her little problem and the strange things that have been gonig on with MY computer I thought that it would be best to install ZA.

Glad I did, sure enough there is still crap on my computer trying to get internet access..... time for a format I suppose. Then I'll be back up and running with my RAID!!!
