Spyware Blaster 3.1.0

I have been running this for the past week and according to SpyBot S&D I have not picked up a single tracking cookie or any other "spyware" at all.

I'm not sure if it has any built in spyware of it's own as some of these things do but it seems well worth running it if you don't like tracking cookies and such.

This may be a good one for us to host if we can get permission.

Here is their Blurb:

Quote:
Spyware, adware, browser hijackers, and dialers are some of the fastest-growing threats on the Internet today.
By simply browsing to a web page, you could find your computer to be the brand-new host of one of these unwanted fiends!

The most important step you can take is to secure your system. And SpywareBlaster is the most powerful protection program available.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

SpywareBlaster can help keep your system spyware-free and secure, without interfering with the "good side" of the web.

And unlike other programs, SpywareBlaster does not have to remain running in the background.

Thanks for the link bud!! I got to do something about my girls box. I KNOW there is something on there that I just can't seem to find. I've ran SBS&S and adware, but I still get pop-ups.

Great links guys..
I have 2 friends w/ 3 pcs run amok... adware, spyware, hijackers, mad pop-ups, and even a virus or 2....

I've cleaned the viruses, and some of the other junk, but I have to try these out.

Glad I could share the info. As always - You are welcome.

If ANYONE who goes with this finds something amiss, please report back to us here. I have been running it about a month now and still have not gotten a thing according to SpyBot.
