POLL: Which anti-virus software do you use?

Which anti-virus software do you use?

If you use more than one package, just pick the one you prefer.

None, unless you count DEP and I've never had a virus, though I've had issues with spyware in the past

I also use none. No spyware either. One of the great big huge advantages of using a machine running on OSX.

I use ZA Suite which uses an antivirus engine from CA, so I picked "Other."

I've decided to take a look at what's currently available. Just switched to a trial of Sophos. I'll try out a few before I settle with one.

That's the next one I'll be trying out. The free part sounds appealing!

AVG here. Totally sold on it, although I used to use Norton.

I almost had my cousin sold on AVG...but she picked up a Corporate copy of Norton somewhere and is in love with it...

I use Norton in Windows, and on one Linux installation (the laptop) I have ClamAV, though set to scan once per week rather than in real time. I did play with ClamAV/dazuka but found it unreliable.

AVAST!, in combination with a monthly format gets the baddies.

and i keep a rabbits paw on my monitor to ward off spyware

Norton is the root of all evil. I make around $300/month de-nortoning computers that have had it fail after a corrupt update. If it didnt come with every other white box machine as a compulsury add-on with a 60 day trial, they wouldnt even be in bussiness.

ain't that the truth!! I can't tell ya how many machines I sent out loaded up LOCKED DOWN WITH NO NEED FOR ADDITIONAL av/spyware software that came back with "issues" only to have the entire norton suite installed.
and they wonder why it locks up all the time.. LMAO!!

In the past I've had several viruses that just locked out Norton or McAffe and thats one of the main reasons I don't like them

yeah, I like mcafee about as much as I like norton, which is about as much as I like a good punch in the face.
