is this a spyware/virus?

under decive manager i just found "R-TT backup archive explorer", now, i dont belive i have installed anything like this, and R-TT seem to sell data archiving programs, i am kinda worried, anyone heard anything about this?

ok, i search google for you and found this

according to that its a driver of some kind.

the funny thing was, i typed "R-TT backup archive explorer" into google and it came up with 2 results the first was the link above and the second was this thread!

yes i know its a driver of some kind, as i found it under device manager, and that website doesnt tell me much! and as i have said, i dont belive i have any hardware in my comp that would use a driver such as that

It's not a hardware driver. It's a software driver (IE, provides some specific services). There may be some software that you have installed that uses the RTT services for some reason.

Bit late for a reply.........

Umm try having a look through services.msc(XP maybe 2k) can run it from run command box and see if there is a service listed that matches the description or name of this file. If so then right click and select properties and have a look at the dependancy tab to see if anything relies on it or what it relies on. If it has a service listed it will also most likely give a description as to what it does.

You could also find the file through a search and check it's properties for the company that made it and some other misc details that may yield better results on google.
