I love the RED ''A Virus was found''. I found one and felt violated.

OMG, that file count is close to how many a customer of ours had...near 9000+ files infected with just about anything you've ever heard. I'm sorry, but I believe it is people like this that should not be aloud near a computer, why?
The greatest reason these viri run amuck is becuase people are retards, who dont update, scan, protect and quite franky dont give a ****.

The worst thing is...no single person can claim "well, I just didnt have time" or "I dont know how"...because everything is so damn easy. When I had my k62 machine up, it was to go, find the newest file, download the file, extract, update, install, reboot. Now's its...*click** few seconds later** updates successful** ...I'm sorry, but there's no excuse for a machine such as this.

It would seem that someone has been using him as some kind of peer-to-peer storage bitch. He has a folder that I can't see or access where tons of stuff is. I'm suspecting a rootkit...but I can't get to it in the registry. It's driving me apeshiz. Anyway...it looks like a wipe and reinstall of Windows is in effect. This will simply have to teach him to be more freaking careful. I don't mind helping people...but I don't have time to do this crap every damn time someone calls me because they can't scan their downloads.

Thanks for the space and bandwidth to vent.
