explorer missing?

exactly what the title says. at work we've had about 7 computers come in with explorer missing/corrupt and cannot be fixed without a reinstall of windows as of right now. i'm beginning to thing that there is a virus out there or some sort of spyware that is causing this to happen. I was wondering if you guys know of anything that might be causing this and know of anything to fix it besides a reinstall of Winxp?

Try scanning for viruses/spyware. If it doesn't work, try a win repair, otherwise reinstall
I'd cry...but I can't stop laughing.
