Lemme get this right:

Quote:
AOL's servers are now filtering instant messaging traffic to intercept any attacks, but the company has yet to patch the underlying problem in its client software, security researchers said Tuesday.
Hold on. AOL decided to filter potentially malicious traffic whilst they sort out an alternative route for functionality. In the meantime, the security researchers decide it's a good idea to call everyone's attention to the issue, and claim that the world is going to end if AOL don't fix the problem right now?

Does anyone else feel that this might be just a bit over the top?

Does seem rather like say they are at the pump, but OUT OF GAS!
How bad is low tank if the fuel is being pumped?
