So first, before you attempt to 'hack' you have to get a suitably strong magnet close to the pacemaker itself before you can start to communicate with it.

There's easier ways to kill someone - like hitting them hard over the head with said magnet...

As far as I can make out, this is really a classic example of spreading fear - and especially to a group of people that don't need extra fear. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what DailyTech were trying to do by publishing an article with what I'd consider to be highly misleading phasing in it.
