Bad Security Certificate help

I was at the Deoconess Hospital [ where Mareen is at ] website and their offerings for assisted living and such and they had an information and forum to register & join. when I clicked on it Firefox jumped in with a warning of a bad security certificate. Being as it was the hospital, I didn't get nervous about it until I looked at it. The site wants personal info to join and that made me back out and come ask for someone to look this thing over that knows about this stuff. The Certificate i saved.

Can you give me the URL that you are attempting to access? The certificate appears to be self-signed, which may or may not be a bad thing. Generally, a web site that is offering secure access to the public at large should use a certificate that is signed by a valid root CA, but there are a lot of clueless webmasters out there.

Maybe they had a faux-pas or something. I just visited the registration page and their cert is valid.

Thanks, Giz, I was maybe a bit to nervous as I had just gotten a fraud email "from" PayPal on a item I sold on Ebay.
