Post Underground Services Let Virus Writers Check Their Work

Looks like a new upstart online business has found yet another way of making money off the Internet, namely the Hackers that make the Malware, Viruses & Backdoor worms we all hate so much!

What they offer is a way for them to test their newly made hackware against all the the makers that provide protection against it to see if its detected or not.

They also promise the hackers that they will not share this info with the anti-Virus/Malware vender's so that they can't make detection rules against it...

In an of itself the site is not illegal, but providing this service IMO is just plain WRONG!!!

More on this story...

That does beg the question: I wonder how many of these malware writers have ended up with their own malware infecting their system?

Wow! Some people are pretty stupid.

There's already a number of websites that allow you to upload a file you suspect contains malware. They will then report back what the AV tools discovered - and all for free.

So, it'd be pretty easy to upload code to such a website and see what happened.

Of course, if you actually write your own code (as opposed to using a kit to do it), then it's highly unlikely to be detected. If you use a kit to write it, it's much more likely to be detected.
