Report: Obama Administration to Spy on Citizens Online to Fight "Terror"

Big brother soon will soon have an easy window to watch you online, so don't step out of line

These days there's plenty of signs of slipping privacy and freedoms in the U.S. Citizens in many areas are no longer allowed to photograph police officers on duty, to help prevent law enforcement officials from being exposed perpetrating malfeasance. And a recent federal court ruling concluded that if you weren't wealthy enough to afford a fence, a gate, and other trappings, police can invade your property without warrant.

When facing the threat of terrorism, the U.S. and other nations are struggling to figure out how far to go to combat it. The Bush administration and the Obama administration appear to believe that no sacrifice is to great in the "war on terror" even if that sacrifice is citizens' freedoms and privacies. Thus the U.S., and others worldwide seem headed towards a future which would be viewed as strange and alarming by the more liberty-endowed citizens from decades prior.

And all this time I thought we were fighting the war on terror to preserve are way of life. Seems we will be living in such a way that the rest of the world no longer has a problem with us before much longer.

Then we will have to go back to killing each other over religion until we only have one of those as well.

We've (Well, actually, you have - I'm not in the US) been through this before back with the Clipper chip... Never mind the fact that a "back door" will potentially be abused by other state threat actors.

For me it lies beyond any doubt that foreign terrorist are our native fascists greatest ally...

With them as a shield we are being stripped of our rights.

We lost 50,000 men and women in Vietnam, but not one of our rights needed to be suspended nor taken away...

Have we really become a nation of such cowards that we fear and tremble we are told to!?
