The good old FF browser gets little love when it comes to security

Firefox has its plate full when it comes to security. It has grown a substantial enough market share to place it in a strong second after Microsoft. This gives it a high profile and leaves it a desirable target to be exploited by hackers and malware writers. [Front page...]

It's nice to hear what they say, but...

If MS platforms are so easy to patch, why do so many malicious tools look to exploit missing patches in the base Windows and IE? I do know that Flash and Acrobat Reader are heavily targeted in addition to missing patches in Windows and IE though.

Well...they haven't scared me off Firefox as yet...":O}

With the installation of the NoScript extension it's not near as easy (if not almost impossible) to load executables by visiting websites. ;)

No matter what security flaws might be exposed in FF from time to time, it's no where near as bad as IE & activeX... :rolleyes:

Then there's the basic hostility factor...outside of MS, I haven't heard of anyone who really hates Firefox "And any one dumb enough to use it!!"

They may come after me and use Firefox to do it, but it most likely won't be BECAUSE I use Firefox! ":O}
