I like 'em! Sometimes I go out and try to find beautiful things that people pass by every day. I've only been mildly successfull in that regard, but it looks like you've got an eye for that sort of stuff.

What kind of camera do you have there, dod?

They're all excellent photos.

Did you edit them at all or are they straight images?

These were taken with a Minolta Dimage 7i . Just sold it though and ordered a Canon EOS10D , I've been wanting one for months. In the meantime I'm using a canon A75 but I'd find it difficult to recommend, even though it gets great reviews.

They're more or less unedited. Boosted saturation in a couple and cropped to focus more on subject. Spiders web had an unsharp mask applied just to bring it out a bit more.

I'm quite tempted to move up to a digital SLR now that the prices are becoming more affordable. Still got my old 35mm Canon SLR, but I don't use it anymore.

Yep, that's the reason I went for the canon. I've still got an old EOS1000FN with a couple of lenses. They fit the new body so it made no sense to look at the likes of a Nikon

I prefer this version of the lock, makes it a bit more rustic looking

I like that. Makes you look at the texture more in monochrome.

Took these today. The light was quite flat so I had a play with some macro shots and depth of field.
