Paint Shop Pro isn't nearly as powerful as Photoshop. There wouldn't be the price tag difference if it was.
Sorry.

IMO, PSP is easier to use, though

Yeah, for those who can't be bothered to learn how to use photoshop.

Photoshop elements is a better alternative to PSP. It really isn't hard to learn. There are thousands of tutorials on the net. It's fine if you can be bothered to teach yourself.
And then the end resutls are so much better than PSP.

I tried GIMP once, It's a nice program, but severly lacking in features compared to Photoshop. Also, some renders and techniques I've used in photoshop were duplicated in Gimp to provide some really odd results. I didn't have this problem using PSP. But when one knows all PS keybindings, it's always fun to try a new program and see what results pressing your favourite button combos will give.

how did you get a picture of my computer lab? Anyway once out teacher acidently knocked the power out of the server and our whole lab bluescreened (I wonder why ). More then half the school went down and I was laughing so hard. Best yet the teacher couldn't fix it (but the power cable back in) she was going crazy.
