K800i

Hello peeps

Got myself a new phone, the Sony Ericsson K800i. Its sure is a nice piece of kit, you can even watch TV on it, if you have access to the appropriate type of mobile network!

However, thats not really what impressed me most about it. It has a built in Sony Cybershot 3.2mp camera. Here is a close up shot of my mouse at work. I'm very happy with this, and may not even need to buy a camera!

I shall be playing around with this camera a bit more over the weekend to see what it can do. Will post some of the results if they are any good lol!

Yeah, I've had this phone since about August.

Both me and my mum got it so that we didn't need to buy a really expensive digital camera, if we ever went on holiday or stuff.

People's initial reaction when they see the quality of the camera is 'Whoa, dude, ******g hell'

But yeah, it sure is amazing.

Also, Toro, go to Applications! There's a fun Face Warp application to play around with. Take piccies of people's faces and the phone warps them into all sorts of wierd positions.

Worth a look! =O

Very nice! I'm hoping that the PSP camera will be same quality. Most likely it will be.

was pretty comical. The trick is to do it once or twice, and not to keep on with it, even though all you want to do is play with your new toy lol

Just ordered a K800i

Quick question - will it be compatible with the PRO Duo card I have for my k750 (which I drowned - doh) ? - 64 mb is never going to be enough memory

No.

The K800i takes M2 memory sticks, so the Pro Duo cards used in K750/W800 won't work, unfortunately. =(

Had a feeling that would be the case.
Shame - bright side I guess is that my brother needs a 1gb card for his PSP.

I was thinking about buying one of these, does it have an MP3 player, and can you use MP3's as ringtones?

Yeah, as with most modern phones, it has MP3 playback and MP3 ringtone compatibility.

=)

Australia got 3G now?

Wait, you're on 3G?!

EWWWWW.

3G = t3h suck.

And, I doubt it. Unless you have a Pay and Go 3G Sim card, I don't think 3G will allow you to slap their SIMs in any old phone.

Try and get it on contract from 3G. =/

This phone kicks absolute ass!!!

This first photo is an outdoor shot I took. The second is an indoor one. Slightly grainy image when there is low light though.
