Capturing HD video from PS3 via a Blackmagic Design Intensity HDMI card

Anyone know if this card will capture HD video output from a PS3, during game play? For in-game footage, screenshots, etc...

I don't think the card will handle any signal with HDCP enabled on it. I don't know if the PS3 outputs HDCP enabled signals though.

I'm not 100% sure either, but I suspect it does use HDCP at 1080p. Even in games.

I'm almost positive that HDCP is more for movies than anything else. Even then, I don't believe you need a HDCP-enabled setup to watch any movies currently on the market.

I'm sure HDCP is in use now. Found quite a few people having problems with Blu-ray playback and HDCP, on this forum: Blu-ray Forum - Blu-ray Community and Forums

Although, I think you can still play protected movies, at a lower resolution on non-HDCP equipment.

I decided to just get a USB box with S-Video capture. So, will at least be able to get some standard def movies of games.

I suspect PS3 games are using HDCP, as well.
