| New LCD view finder tech for cameras These LCD panels have a resolution as high as 2,117ppi, and will allow for full HD video to be displayed in a video camera view finder. | As a replacement for an optical path, it still doesn't really seem to be there. It has a resolution of 800x600, which is going to be considerably lower than the optical path. It's not field sequential, where RGB colors are scanned one after the other, which helps with video use, but isn't as important for photo use. Epson are apparently working on developing a full HD viewfinder.
