Dude! That's my Mom! My mother did that during the war. She worked for Roar, Ryan and convair in Long Beach, San Diego, while my father was at sea. I can remember her driving past and saying she missed the work but had to quit when the men came home. It was a given that they (The women of the USA) would quit and give up the only good money jobs they ever had...when the men came home...still have mixed feelings about that...I could tell she did to....
