Dual-CPU desktop comes of age

Nebojsa Novakovic at the Inquirer has taken a look at Intel's D5400XS "SkullTrail" motherboard, some beast!

It seems that currently the D5400XS doesn't like overclocking the FSB at all. Multiplier is ok though for multiplier unlocked CPUs.

I'm surprised no one is interested in this board. I know I can't afford it but man what capablilities! Runs SLI and CrossFire with 4 PCI-E X16 slots, but they are not 2.0 PCI-E slots.
I don't know if it is for a gaming server or two computers in one. Cool stuff. I'll be looking for this in a few years to see how far the prices have dropped.

I'm interested, but the price tag of the board is just the beginning. You couldn't really start out with that board and throw average components in it, plus you have at least 2 of everything..

I'd have to put a pair of QX9770's in that board, plus a pair of GX2's.

I'd love to see some benchmarks (Sandra / 3DMark06) on that setup with this board...Woah!!!
You'd also have to have a hefty PS to power all that! Just the 2 processors alone is 300w.
