Ram Voltage

Ive got an Epox 4G4A+ and am having a few OC'ing problems. First off, ive fully stability tested my 2.4B @ 2.8Ghz at an FSB of 156Mhz. I ran this for awhile, but then decided to try and get more speed out of my ram. Ive got a 512mb Corsair XMS PC3200 stick that just wont do anything above 375Mhz. Right now im stuck at 150fsb, 2700Mhz and the 375Mhz ram. Now ive heard that some ram requires alot of voltage to get up into certain speeds, but the main question im asking is what voltages would be "safe" for my ram to operate at? My bios version is 2822 by the way.

I think 2.8v is pretty safe.

Also try running lower memory timings with the higher memory bus speed.

Hmm

Ive run the memory at SPD timings and it still doesnt work. But the thing is, Prime 95 doesnt crash, and Memtest 86 3.0 all check out when it comes to stability.... I only get problems when i start a 3d game up! Its the strangest thing.

You have locked PCI/AGP bus in the bios ?

If not do so.

yes

Definately yes I do, i know how unstable my components could become if they were overclocked (Radeon 9700pro/Audigy). Thats why this is so strange. The memory is perfectly stable but only when I run 3d games do the problems come out, and rather instantly i might add. The screen will lock and random sounds, sometimes screeching will occur, and my usb turns off, indicating a full hard lock. And yes, ive tried upping my ram voltage, cpu voltage and agp voltage, with no success
