Take a look in H-Oda utility. If this is important to you I am sure you will know how to find out in there from register 97hex.

more specifically bit 1 of 97h = 1 for command decode on.

As this is official bios its probably off (ill test when i get home)

2815 is an agressive bios if you want one.

Doing a search for fast decode register 97 should = 73 for fast decode to be enabled. In the 2B01 bios register 97=79 so fast decode in not enabled.

Thanks, you guys.
I mostly just word process, so fast decode is not too much of a strain on my (locked 1800+) cpu. Been using 2829; unless there is a performance gain or some new feature in the new one, I won't flash it, then.
cheers!
Mork

I'm still using 2812...

I think I might try this one out as someone pointed that Fast Decode is enabled .

If anyone already tried it, please post your results (max FSB and CPUclk compared to other BIOS and perfromance)...

Thanks a lot... Thanks ET!

Flashed it with ALT-F2, went wrong...
(it did not flash second part)

Thank god boot-rom (or block, what is it?) worked OK and I could flash it with a floppy I quickly made on another PC...

Downloaded it from www.epox.org (went wrong) and www.epox.nl (went ok), but I think that's a coincidence since the CRC (and the MD5 made by me) of both files is the same.

It's probably just bad luck or a faulty floppy (also bad luck). But most important: it still works :P

Hmm

EP-4G4A Bios is dated 11/04/02, and seems ok. However, my overclocking really hasnt fared much better. I think it could be a problem with my memory but I doubt it as it is high quality Corsair PC3200 v2.1. Ive been stuck at DDR375 for awhile, and cant get past it at all without locking up in 3d games, and still face the same problem with this bios. However this bios has made my computer stable in normal operation, and reduced my temps a little bit, and increased my memory bandwidth by ~80mbs, which I am very happy with. Keep up the good work Epox, I love to see constant support for a product that I own keep going on like it has.
