Question Epox 8K5A3+ Memory QUestion..

i see on the site that the 8K5A3+ can only go up to PC2700 , but i see on these forms that alot of people have faster ram , 1 person with this board says he is using PC3500? , so what is the Unoffical Speed of ram (PC2700 - PC3500?) This mothboard can handle ?

these people are OVERCLOCKING the motherboard so they use Higher rated RAM speeds PC 3500 I think is 433mhz DDR

433CAS2.5 at CAS2 pc3500 is rated to 417mhz DDR usually from what i've seen.

So, does that mean that they bought PC2700 Ram and OCed it to PC3500 , or did they buy PC3500 Ram , and just forced the Mobo to run at that speed ?

They bought the fast ram then overclocked there motherboard and processor to run at those higher speeds.
