Not the "+" version.

I'm in the same situation, I'd really like to see a new BIOS for this board. Every new release seems to prioritize the "+" version which kinda makes me regret my decision to buy the 8K5A2. I still like the board though.

Same here.  The beta version was just too unstable for me to keep it.  Went back to the original.

Perhaps my TwinMOS PC3200 DDR400 5ns will do better with it (when it arives).

I agree, epox should not forget "budget mobo"-byers. I purchased 8k5a2 (non + version) cause I really like my expensive 3com-ethernet and audigy-cards more than some integrated ones...

Wow! Thanks, Karaya! I will try it this weekend to see if it increases stability for me. I swapped my 8K7A for the 8K5A2 but my cpu does not overclock as well as it did on my 8K7A. I need 1.95V to get to 1750 MHz on the 8K5A2 but I could reach 1815 MHz @ 1.80V on the 8K7A.

OH YA!  THAT'S WHAT I"M TALKING ABOUT!

This is much more like it.   I've been away deer hunting and finally flashed this bios.  Much better.

No.  I didn't get that buck......yet.

New bios (2510) is quite nice, more stable than the beta one (was it 2909) altough bit slower @166mhz fsb..around 0,5sec difference in pifast 3.3. At 133fsb I couldn`t see difference.
And KB led is now off when comp is shutted down

Maybe its faster with your system, but I believe what I see in tests and games
For excample UT2k3 came down by few fps and 3dmark2001 came down a bit too. Anyway I prefer stable system so it`s fine.
