8KHA+ w/2600+ am I in trouble?

I have an 8KHA+ with the 9/3/2002 (2903.bin) BIOS and I have a 266FSB 2600+ in the mail.

I'm a little worried. I tried to install the 2B06.bin file from the EPoX UK site, and found that my system would not boot with my SCSI card installed. Had to go back to 2903 to get up and running.

While playing around with the 2903 BIOS afterward, I noticed that I can only get a maximum of 15x as a multiplier. Isn't the 2600+ 16x/133? If it is, have I wasted my money by purchasing a 2600+? It will be here next week, and I was hoping it'd work.

the xp 2600+ will work, the multiplier will be automatic detected from your 8kha+.
multiplier 13,14,15 real are 12.5, 5 and 5,5 if your xp is unlockt and the last L3 bridge is closed for multiplier from 5-12,5.
factory default your xp2600+ is unlockt on your 8kha+ from 13-23
but only multiplier 15-23 work with all epox kt266a and kt333 boards.

to choose multiplier 15-18 you must choose the following muliplier in your bios:

7=15
7,5=15,5
8=16
8,5=16,5
9=17
9,5=18 17,5 is reserved in the dataspecs for tbreds

i tried these multiplier for myself with an xp 2400+!!!

but don't worry about default multiplier, your 8kha+ will defenitly recognize him!!!

you can use the multiplier that i described above!!!
13-14,5 can't be used with 8kha+ and kt333 epox boards if you select them in the bios. only default xp's with these multiplier for example (xp2200+ 13,5 multi) can use them.
some kt400 boards are able to use all multiplier with these tbreds.
multiplier 13-14,5 should be 5(14)-6,5 but they don't work!!
it is not clear if a bios update can solve this or not???

Thanks. I thought if I left the multiplier to AUTO it'd probably work, but I think I just "scared" myself into thinking I blew my cash on a CPU that wouldn't work

Thanks for the reassurance.
