Oh Crap... Serious Crap

I just realised something... I am getting two IDE drives (Burner and DVD-ROM)

Then I looked at the board...

Then I looked at the IDE drives

Then I looked at the board again...

This thing only has 3 PORTS!!??

Does this mean I can only have 1 IDE Drive/1 HDD and 1 FDD...

OMG I AM CRAPPING MY DACKS RIGHT NOW...

HOLY CRAP, HAVE I MADE A MISTAKE???? PLEASE TELL ME I HAVE!! I AM GETTING THIS BOARD ON MONDAY!!!

yes, relax, you are ok, each IDE port can handle 2 drives, just make sure you look at the master/slave jumper for each drive.

I can understand now why this member gave so many questions regarding the audio characterstics of the board.

The learning curve is steeper for some than others.

I guess you never saw the thread about the audio..........
Just joking man, I was a noob once, and I thought it blew, that being said when that was the case I listened, read and asked questions....... but I never drilled people.
Israfel is ok, I have np with him. He just has a habit of asking the same question many times.
No big deal man. It's cool.

Give Israfel a break. He just excited that his 8rda+ is on the way and he wants to know more about his new mobo and want to make sure everything will work out.

Be glad that we know more and be graceful to those who ask us to help.

I wasnt gonna say anything at first till I saw so many people bashing him. No big deal really...i just know how it felt to be a noob once and ask some real newbie questions. I'm pretty excited that my 8RDA+ is on the way as well along with my 2700+ .

"i expect 1min reply times on any problem i have! " heheh

The top commandment in asking for advice is
#1- I shall not hammer.

With that in mind, it usually doesn't take too long for an active community to start helping, if the folks looking at it have any idea of what it might be.

EDIT: There should be a sticky on every forum with that commandment in bold letters!!!!!
