4PEA or 4GEA over 166MHz FSB ?

I can get my 1.8A to 165x18 stable at 1.75V BIOS (Epox 4PEA, BIOS Dec 03) and 166x18 at 1.775V (undervolt to 1.72 under load). By stable, I mean I can run all benchmarks, loop 3DMark 3 times, prime for hours and hours and encode DVD->MP4 even. However, if I push the chip to 167MHz FSB, no matter what volt I give it, I just can't even do a Sandra CPU bench Happens even at 1:1 so ram issue is ruled out. Any idea what is wrong with my CPU/main ? If you have an Epox 4PEA/+ or 4GEA/+, can you run higher than 166 FSB and with what BIOS ?

Edit: it's not a specific issue at 167MHz FSB. Same thing happens at higher than 167.

Maybe your CPU can't take more than 2988-3000MHz ? Have you considered that ?
And BTW, you should have posted in the Intel motherboard section since this is not a problem with the EPoX board
