8rda+ and samsung pc2700 overclocking help I'm trying to overclock my 1600+ and i can't seem to get past 165fsb sync with aggressive timings (tried slower mem timings but no go), anything above 165 running toast resets my system. I have a samsung dtm tcb-3 single sided ram, a speeze heatsink and fan which keeps my temps in the evening to about 42-44c at full load. My vcore is at 1.85 on the bios but reads at 1.9 on the usdm and my vdimm is at 2.8. Would like some help, i know getting the extra 1fsb isn't much but i did buy the pc2700 ram to get to 166fsb ![]()

I've got 2 sticks CTL as well. I was having trouble till I set timings to Sync, Expert, 6.2.2.2 @ 2.7 volts. I can run up to 188fsb at these settings, stable @ 200fsb @ 7,3,3,2.5 @ 2.7. Voltage doesn't seem to make a difference. The sticks also feel warmer than they ran in the KR7A-133r. Hope that helps..........goldie

Ok got my system stable at 166fsb playing spearhead for a few hours. The odd thing is when i upped the vdimm to 2.9 system still would reset running toast, but my system got stable at 1.95 vcore using usdm to read what my voltage is at. Temps are 55c in full load and that's high for me. I don't have the 1600+ unlocked but i read others are getting to 166fsb using stock voltage and hsf. I can't get above 166fsb. Can anyone give me an idea of what part of my pc is holding me back? 8rda+ samsung dtm tcb-3 pc2700 tbsc speeze hsf 1600+ locked 8500 q-max power supply 350watt +5 and 3.3v comined load is 190w

looks like i am running same components as hellos. suggest you try cpu interface optimal, memory expert, auto, 7,3,3,2.5 agp freq 66, cpuv 1.8 or 1.85, vdimm 2.77, agp 1.5v, . my locked 1600+palomino aroia stepping is currently at 10.5x175, 1.85v, cpu temp 33C, system 29C, ambient 75F, which is obviously low due to way epox reads temps. also, put a fan on northbridge. lots of other posts on this subject, including one by me with a quick cheap fix. noticeable improvement. finally, reseat your heatsink. if you are running temps that high, you may not be seated properly. before i watercooled, i never got that high. edit: adjusted temps, read the manual on which dimms to install mem. i'm in 1&3 for dual.
