8K7A ram problem

My computer is not over clocked. I have an 8K7A w/ 2 sticks of crucial pc2100 cas 2 256MB ram. When I set my ram timings to optimal, I start having problems. But my ram is completely fine! I tried it on my friends mobo and it ran 150fsb with optimal timings fine but on my 8k7a it can't even run 133.

Problems include: not able to run sisoft sandra memory test
Game crashings

can anyone help? thanks.

I think you can up the ram voltage over stock board voltage which if my memory serves me is 2.6volts. Up it another .1 of a volt and see if it is more stable then!

Rather than just trying optimal try setting latency manualy.

Not all ram will run fast timings even with more voltage, but you might be able to get haf way there.

The thing is is that: I was able to run optimal timings on this board for about a year, but now it is giving me problems with those settings. I've checked the ram and its fine. Something is wrong with my board.

Sounds like the board is damaged somehow, I ran with two Crucial PC2100 256 MB @150 MHz for a year without problems at most aggressive timings. The board would do 160-165 MHz but only with one DIMM inserted.
