Flash the bios

Hi All,

I would like to know, how to flash the bios as i have only windows xp pro ( can not create a bootdisk i.e win98 )

Will it solve the problem of my xp 2100+ being recognised as XP 1500+

Not being to increase the fsb past 100fsb (set on the board as 133/166 fsb).

and the agp being stuck on 2x even though 8x is enabled for my ati 9700 pro.

Many Thanks guys for any help,

Also th bios came as is 11/12/2002

Matrix.

Assume 8RDA+ you can sort the misrecognition thing by setting all to Agressive or Expert and then manual where relevant...

I had the same problem with mine at first had a 2700+ seen as a 1500+ talking about culture shock!!!!! I cleared the cmos, increased my memory voltage and set the fsb speed in the bios to 166 for mine; you can set yours to 133 then saved and exited, it rebooted and came up as a XP2700+ boy was I relieved thought the board or my proscessor had went South!!!

use the magic bios utility

it will download and install the bios from windows...

corsair voltage should be 2.5v but 2.624v is fine...

Latest bios will probably fix your AGP issues as well...

Oh and make sure you install the latest Nvidia "4-in-1's" version 2 from www.eopx.org or from www.nvidia.com

flash bios

Hi Galifrey,

Magic Bios reported that the bios is already up to date, but it's not ( it's the original bios shipped with board )

Downloaded the new bios 8RDA2C10.bin.

Many Thanks,

Matrix:-D

Advice time just closethe os down after the flash go into bios on reboot select optimized settings save and exit! It will reboot again and then go back into bios and set your bios settings then save and exit ! After the first time it should see your cpu as it really is if not well try us again!

I believe that the update bios all will be set automtically if required...

just load the bios into winflash and select flash bios... it will ask you if you want to reload... select yes or no, then when progress indicator comes up select flash...

So far all I've flashed( updated) is the top option. I think it's the boot block?

In XP just right click the floppy goto format and the choice to make boot disk is in there. Then add the epox files. I do it all the time.
