| 8k9a2+-SB Live Value or Onboard? Topic says it all, should I use the onboard audio (which I hope will help with IRQ sharing) or stick with my SB Live! Value?

| if you wanna solve irq sharing, put th card in the slot that shares with the onboard sound... However, with ACPI and the limited irq's with via chipsets its tough... I had to do a lot of juggling on 8k3a+ and my sblive... disable any hardware that you arent using such as com ports as well

| Been there, done that. Moved cards around and disabled all unused onboard stuff, but I still have an IRQ shared with video card, which is my main concern. I lose IRQs when I disable stuff, so If I enable onboard sound it will use it's designated IRQ and then maybe I can get the video card on it's own IRQ.
