| I currently have 3 EPoX boards with built in LAN and I haven't had a hitch with a single one. Here are some basic questions: 1) It is enabled in the BIOS? 2) Do you have the correct driver? 3) Have you configured Windows (98, 2K, XP) correctly? 4) If you have a previous LAN card, did you release the IP?

| The board that I got is the 4Gea+ The Bios is 04/12 It is enabled in the Integrated PCI. I have setup many networks before using the windows XP cd and I did it the same way in this instance. Put the CD in, install additional components, install a home network...next, next, next, then select the onboard lan, next again, files move from one end to the other on screen...then it usually comes up with cannot complete installation or it does actually work, but with no result! As soon as i put a PCI nic, it works fine, but i want to use the onboard one! Releasing the IP you say?

| Do you see the onboard NIC in device manager? EDIT: Now that I think about it, releasing the IP shouldn't matter.
